TECT All Terrain Park manages approximately 4,000 acres of forest and native bush, now developed into a multi-use adventure park supporting horse riding, mountain biking, motocross, shooting, remote-control cars, rally cars, and four-wheel driving. Maintaining such a large, varied, and often rough terrain is a major challenge, so for Park Ranger Jarron McInnes and his team, finding the right mower was critical. After trying several options, the Trimax Warlord proved to be the solution.
Built for Tough Conditions
The conditions at TECT are far from typical park mowing environments. Much of the land is rough, uneven, and covered with obstacles, including stumps, stones, and thick vegetation. “It’s undulating, it’s rough, it’s hard conditions. We’re talking stumps, stones, all sorts of things.” Despite these challenges, the Warlord continues to perform reliably across the property. “This thing just goes through it.” Jarron explains.
The mower has also proven highly effective at reclaiming areas previously dominated by gorse. After spraying the invasive plants, the Warlord is used to mulch the remaining material, turning what was once rough scrubland into usable park space. “What used to be a gorse paddock is now a nice park setting because the Trimax will just go through and mulch the whole lot up.”
Simple Design, Easy Maintenance
For Jarron and his team, simplicity and reliability are just as important as cutting power. Equipment that requires constant repair or complicated maintenance simply isn’t practical in such a demanding environment.
“The Warlord’s a pretty basic setup,” Jarron says. “It’s a hell of a lot easier to maintain, but it’s strong.” At the end of the day, maintenance is straightforward. “Pack it up at the end of the day, give it a grease up, and away we go the next day.” This simple routine keeps the machine ready to work without significant downtime.
Reliable Support and Results
Along with performance in the field, Jarron highlights the importance of good support from the manufacturer. For a project as ambitious as developing a large recreational park, dependable backup is essential. “The biggest thing is the backup and support,” Jarron says. “You guys have been real good.”
The results achieved with the Warlord have also impressed both Jarron and his team. The finished areas now resemble parkland rather than rough scrub. “The finished product that we get… it looks marvellous because of the Trimax.”
